what a summer!
it has been so long since i have written to yall.
honestly, that first post i did in april was frightening to me. i am not used to opening up in that way and i wasn’t prepared for the response it was going to get. i appreciated the kind words i got from yall both through text and in person. <3
i have been thinking about the reason why i create. this is something that was put to the test this summer.
you may or may not know (if you follow me on IG) but i went on a small bi-coastal tour in NY and OR. i would not recommend doing a tour like that with the dates so close together. idk why i didn’t document it through the blog… that was a missed opportunity. but i think i was just trying to get from one place to the next and still in shock about what i was doing.
it felt great to tell people “im on tour” and them have a reaction that singled that they took me seriously. hell, i took myself seriously on this tour.
i performed at a total of five shows, one of them was the QTDayFest and this is a memory i will hold dear to my heart.
i really needed this tour to affirm my creative spirit as it doesnt get fed too much where i am currently.
i am trying to not allow my environment dictate my relationship to my art and how i show up for myself as an artist. its very hard tho.
just wanted to get on here and lyk that im still active.
